Last week, I shared that I’m going back to school for a BS in Computer Science.
However, that doesn’t mean I’m done with agile coaching – not by a long shot.
I’m happy to be working again with Agile Learning Labs (ALL) as an agile coach, helping companies on their journey to agility. I’ll also be assisting with developing and teaching classes and writing blog posts.
I was first introduced to Agile Learning Labs unknowingly back in 2012 at Amazon when a manager shared Chris’s book with me. In 2019, I arranged Scrum training for Dolby through Agile Learning Labs (ALL is Dolby’s preferred training provider) and met Chris in person. Their perspective on agile and approach to training resonated with me, and I kept up with them through their Meetups – which feature diverse speakers and topics – and even spoke at a few. When the opportunity to work together in 2021 arose, I jumped on it. I’m thrilled to return to working with them fully once again.
What I love about working with ALL is each coaching engagement includes in the contract a 1:1 with Chris and me every week to discuss in depth how I can better serve our client. Chris challenges my thinking and offers perspectives that hadn’t occurred to me. I get to take advantage of their experience to improve my coaching and our client experience. I also love being able to offer our clients my full coaching attention while not having to worry about contracts or invoicing, which is handled by ALL.
Plus, Chris and Betty are just rad to work with. We have a lot of fun.
Between working with ALL and learning programming, I’m feeling confident in the future. We’re going strong to bring some exceptional value to our clients. And I’m in a place where I feel cared for and can care for myself, which helps me show up authentically for other people.
If you’d like to work together, send us a line at info@agilelearninglabs.com.
This should be the last life update for a while (I hope). Back at it next week with more agile content!
